Play Therapy
“You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation”
Plato, Greek Philosopher
Play Therapy is the use of the therapeutic powers of play, to help clients prevent or resolve psychosocial difficulties and achieve optimal growth and development. This is a useful treatment paradigm for addressing childhood and adolescent issues such as coping with parents divorce, school challenges, healing from traumatic events, and improving self esteem. Sessions are conducted in a child centered environment with a variety of toys and other playful activities they can use to express their emotional experiences.
